Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 10
  • Complete the Diver Medical Questionnaire; a physician's approval is needed for any "yes" answer
  • Comfortable in the water

  • No formal swim test; you must be comfortable in the water

After the course

An experience, not a certification. You may not dive without an instructor afterwards. Dives can be credited toward Open Water Diver at the instructor's discretion. Next step: PADI Open Water Diver.

No swim test is needed for Discover Scuba, but you should be comfortable in the water. Your PADI Instructor stays with you the whole time.
